Brian Mitchell is the owner and operator of Axios Custom Homes. His construction experience ranges through remodeling, home additions, and new home construction.
His background in the industry started with working as an entry-level laborer for a small remodeling and construction company. He took every available opportunity to learn new skills and contribute to the team. Before long, he was helping with estimating and planning projects as well as the supervision of remodeling and new home construction projects.
He then had the opportunity to work in construction management for a larger home builder. He was involved in constructing new homes in Holly Springs, Cary, Apex, and Rolesville. These homes ranged widely in styles and sizes, while involving an array of custom elements to create wonderful homes for the clients he worked with.
As a construction manager, Brian was also in a unique position to see and interact with the other elements of the residential construction industry. He was placed directly between the clients, company leadership, sales teams, tradespeople, project estimators, architectural and structural engineers, and city or town officials. This perspective offered extremely valuable insights into the industry. He began to have ideas about improvements that could be made throughout the industry and looked forward to someday having his own building company to implement those ideas.
While working as a construction manager, he began operating his own remodeling and home improvement business part time. He found it refreshing to be in charge of every aspect of each project and he loved being able to solve problems for his clients and deliver excellent results without any limitations. Before long, he knew that full time entrepreneurship was the next step to take. He left his position as a construction manager to operate his business full time while preparing to build his own brand of custom homes.
Once the preparations were made, White Oak Design-Build was established and is now here to create dream homes for our clients. We are based in Raleigh, NC, and offer full design-build services to those seeking exceptional service and quality in their custom home project. Brian takes all of the lessons and experiences he's gained and applies them to serving our clients in the best ways possible.
